Responsibilities & Accountabilities 

Specific Functional/Technical authority - Welding supervision 

• Monitor compliance with contractual requirements, GE specifications and applicable codes and standards on welding and associated testing activities. 

• Review WPS and PQRs for correctness and completeness prior any welding work starts. 

• Organize, control, document and monitor site welder qualifications and ensure that qualified welders are issued with proper identification cards. 

• Ensure the tools required prior welding (holding ovens, welding machines, etc.) are fit for use and with valid calibration. 

• Ensure that any required control measures to ensure satisfactory welding conditions are in place whenever required due to inappropriate environmental conditions (windscreens, rain protection, fire protection, etc.) 

• Provide technical advice to ensure that all welding activities are carried out in an efficient manner with the expected quality 

• Perform site visit during welding activities to check WPS availability at the workplace, welding parameters (welder identity, preheat temperature, interpass temperature, issue and use of consumables, check root pass quality, post heating and post weld heat treatment… as applicable), complete traceability of material and welding consumables 

• Continuously monitor the welding records with traceability of welding consumables. 

• Ensure that all EHS requirements are fulfilled during the welding operation (Permit-to-work in place, fire blankets, fire extinguisher, suitable Personal Protective Equipment, etc.) 

• After welding activity and without delay, monitor weld visual inspection, cleanliness, identification, timely recording against work progress, non-destructive testing results 

• Ensure Post Weld Heat Treatments are carried out in accordance with the WPS and PQR requirements and maintain the relevant documentation 

• Visually inspect the welds and verify NDT (Non-Destructive Test) results as required by Inspection & Test Plans. 

• Notify any identify welding defect and request for further investigation and weld repair whenever required. 

• Minimize any backlog of Post Weld Heat Treatment or non-destructive testing to avoid any delays for the project and to immediately identify potential welding defects. 

• Monitor welder performance and take actions whenever required and instruct the removal of site welders due to poor welding performance. 

• Collect and review weld history sheets (including NDT reports) submitted by the contractor for validation and progress review.  

• Carry out audits of the welding process and NDT company. 

Educational Requirements 

• Technical degree in mechanical / welding engineering or equivalent. 

• Welder inspector qualification from recognized welding organization / institute. 

• NDT qualification level 2 or equivalent in visual test, radiographic test, ultrasonic test, 

magnetic particle test and liquid penetrant test 

• Welding requirements of alloy steel (P11, P22, P91 & P92), stainless steel and carbon steel piping.

1. 此為外商合約制工作(Contract) 先簽3年，後依照專案需求及個人績效評估安排續聘或轉為正式人員 

2. 工作地點 : 台中龍井 火力發電廠 (site 端工作，工作環境並非商辦大樓) 

3. 機械工程背景尤佳 

4. 外國人一同共事，直接report 給國外主管，英文需具基礎溝通能力

協助中鋼機械公司在中龍、中聯資台中廠及通霄工區執行施工現場安全衛生管理，勞安相關文件製作、會議等 

工作時間：  

早上： 07:30 ~ 16:30 (週休二日) 

中午休息時間11:30~12:30
