Job Overview: 

The Optical Leader for Consumer Electronics will drive the innovation, design, and development of advanced optical systems and components for consumer electronic products. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in optical engineering, a passion for cutting-edge technology, and strong leadership skills to guide a multidisciplinary team. The Optical Leader will play a crucial role in shaping the optical strategy and ensuring the successful integration of optical technologies into our consumer electronics portfolio. 

Key Responsibilities: 

•Leadership and Team Management: 

-Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of optical engineers and researchers. 

-Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting continuous learning and development. 

-Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations. 

•Optical Design and Development: 

-Oversee the design, development, and optimization of optical systems and components, including lenses, displays, sensors, and illumination systems. 

-Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and prototyping to validate optical designs and performance. 

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, to integrate optical solutions into consumer electronic products. 

•Technology Innovation and Strategy: 

-Develop and implement the optical technology roadmap, aligning with the company’s strategic goals and market trends. 

-Identify and evaluate new optical technologies, materials, and methodologies to enhance product performance and user experience. 

-Drive innovation by generating patents, publications, and presenting at industry conferences. 

•Project Management: 

-Lead and manage optical engineering projects from concept to production, ensuring timely and successful delivery. 

-Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, mitigating risks and resolving issues promptly. 

-Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements, milestones, and deliverables. 

•Quality and Compliance: 

-Ensure optical designs and products meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards. 

-Implement rigorous testing, validation, and quality assurance processes to ensure high reliability and performance. 

-Address and resolve any optical-related issues during the product lifecycle. 

•Collaboration and Communication: 

-Work closely with product management, marketing, and customer support teams to understand market needs and customer feedback. 

-Communicate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and technological advancements. 

-Represent the company in external engagements, fostering partnerships and collaborations with industry leaders and research institutions.
