The Psychiatric Neuroscience Lab at Taipei Medical University (TMU), directed by Dr. Matteo Martino (Graduate Institute of Mind, Brain, and Consciousness) and Dr. Paola Magioncalda (International Master/Ph.D. Program in Medicine, College of Medicine), is recruiting a full-time laboratory research assistant.

We investigate brain function and the neurobiology of psychiatric disorders, especially bipolar disorder, using clinical evaluations, neuroimaging techniques, and laboratory analysis.

The research assistant will be involved in our projects and investigate immune-inflammatory dysregulation and changes in neurotransmitter signaling, along with their relationship with brain alterations, in bipolar disorder, by using various laboratory techniques and animal models. This work will be conducted in strict collaboration with Prof. Thierry Burnouf’s Laboratory at the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Materials and Tissue Engineering, College of Biomedical Engineering, TMU.
研究助理將利用各種實驗室技術和動物模型，研究躁鬱症的免疫炎症失調和神經遞質訊號的變化，以及它們與大腦改變的關係。這項工作將與北醫大生醫材料暨組織工程研究所Thierry Burnouf 教授的實驗室密切合作進行。
Responsibilities:
- laboratory analyses (protein analysis - such as ELISA, western blot; gene expression; cell culture models and analysis - such as immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry; animal experimentation);
- assistance in data collection;
- maintaining databases;
- coordinating and liaising with the various centers involved in the project;
- literature search and review;
- general management of Lab operations and administrative work.
工作內容：
- 實驗室分析（蛋白質分析 - 如 ELISA、Western blot；基因表現；細胞培養模型和分析 - 如免疫螢光染色、免疫組織化學染色；動物實驗）；
- 協助資料收集；
- 維護數據資料庫；
- 與計畫的各單位進行協調和聯繫；
- 文獻蒐集和探討；
- 一般實驗室及行政事務。
Qualifications
- Master‘s degree in Neuroscience, Biotechnology, Biology, or related field;
- prior experience in protein and cell cultures;
- prior experience in animal models;
- good knowledge of the English language;
- knowledge of the Chinese language is preferred although not required.
資格：
- 神經科學、生物科技、生物學或相關領域的碩士學位；
- 曾有蛋白質與細胞培養的經驗
- 有動物模型經驗；
- 良好的英語語言知識；
- 懂中文者優先，但非必要。
The initial employment period for this position is 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
Salary is in accordance with the TMU research assistant compensation standard plus health insurance and other benefits. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience and is subject to an annual increase.
本職位之初次聘期為 1 年，可延長聘期。薪資依據臺北醫學大學研究助理標準給付，含勞健保和其他員工相關福利。
