Rakuten Kobo in Taiwan is looking for an experienced System Integration & Test Engineer (SIT) to join our global Hardware Development Team for eReader Products. The successful candidate will be stationed in Taiwan and works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team in Toronto R&D Headquarter to liaise, co-develop and follow through the complete Product Development Process from end-to-end with our manufacturers in Asia. You will be responsible for development and execution of test and integration activities for eReader. The role requires you to have a hands-on, motivated and broadly capable electrical & computer engineering knowledge with demonstrated capabilities spanning battery management, touch panel testing & embedded software. The role serves products jointly designed by Rakuten Kobo with our ODM in Taiwan & China. 【Key responsibilities –– What a typical day looks like】 • Provide specialist capability in the integration, test and debug newly developed eReader from initial prototype through to production. • Create test methods, software scripts to test hardware to support system integration test activities. • Build and deploy instrumented test setups, functional mock ups and lab configurations per test plans. • Execute integration test activities, identify, track and debug critical design issues and work with internal and ODM engineering teams to implement and verify resolutions. • Develop and/or review test plans, create test reports and issue resolution reports. •Participate in internal technical design reviews, work with ODM design teams as well as kobo’s SW team to develop integration and test strategies. •Provide support to manufacturing test strategies and systems, support integration, failure analysis and debug during ramp to mass production. 【Requirements】 • A Bachelor’s degree in System, Electrical or Computer engineering or related fields or equivalent industry experience. • A strong capability and desire to learn, absorb new information and adapt to challenging project needs. • Minimum of 5 years of experience & Knowledge of testing hardware design verification at system and sub system levels. • A solid understanding and hands on experience in embedded computer systems, software and scripting technologies. • Experience with automated testing and Python development and shell scripting to interface via a serial connection and/or lab equipment • A high level of analytical ability and a positive and motivated attitude for troubleshooting and solving problems that are unusual and complex. • Experience using lab measurement instruments: Power/battery emulator, network analyzers, signal analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators. • Arduino or similar embedded platforms to help automate testing scenarios • PyVISA or similar scripting knowledge and experience to connect to DMM/Oscilloscope lab equipment • Useful - Knowledge of cross compiling to ARM targets • Soldering experience to solder serial connections and/or test out minor hardware modifications • Working knowledge of embedded Linux systems and Android based systems • The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in an agile environment • Excellent communication skills: visual, verbal and written in English & Chinese • Ability to travel 【備註】 1.投遞時請一併附上全英文履歷word或PDF檔案皆可。資訊工程學類,資訊管理學類,電機工程學類
