Connectivity – Wi-Fi Development Engineer Key Responsibilities 1. Wi-Fi Feature Development and Research: • Responsible for the design, development, and research of the product‘s Wi-Fi connectivity features, ensuring their stability, performance, and connection quality. • Gain an in-depth understanding of the product application‘s complete Wi-Fi architecture, including the Wi-Fi Stack, associated Utilities, upper-layer connection management, and the implementation of code in the physical application layer. 2. Standards and Certification Support: • Understanding on Wi-Fi standards and specifications (e.g., IEEE 802.11 series) and apply them to feature development. • Support relevant Wi-Fi certification efforts, such as WFA (Wi-Fi Alliance) certification. 3. Cross-Platform Implementation and Debugging: • Successfully implement Wi-Fi features on various operating system platforms (e.g., RTOS, Linux, Android). • Utilize Wi-Fi Protocol Analyzers or other specialized tools to assist in debugging connection issues and optimizing performance. 4. Technical Documentation and Collaboration: • Write and maintain high-quality technical documentation, recording design details and test results. • Collaborate closely with hardware, testing, and product teams to collectively solve cross-domain technical challenges. Required Skills and Experience • C/C++ Programming: Good C/C++ programming language with excellent software development capabilities. • Networking Knowledge: Understanding of the Networking Stack and protocol knowledge, especially the TCP/IP protocol. • Wi-Fi Protocol: Substantial understanding and practical experience with the Wi-Fi (802.11) protocol. • Platform Development: Experience with Linux or RTOS-related system platform development. • Wi-Fi Utilities: Familiarity with the use and development of Wi-Fi Utilities, such as iperf and wpa_supplicant. We are seeking a full-time Sensor Algorithms Software Engineer. In this role, you will be using sensor data to develop algorithms for feature used in Garmin products across multiple segments. Essential Functions 1. Design, implement, test, debug, release and maintain • Sensor algorithms that potentially utilize accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers, and barometric pressure sensors in products (written in C, C++ and/or tooling in Python). • Speech algorithms in products (written in C, C++ w/ or w/o 3rd library) 2. Solve fundamental problems and implement algorithm solutions that are device and activity appropriate. 3. Evaluate various design tradeoffs including power consumption, cost, reliability and time to market. 4. Provide reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems using sound problem solving techniques. Basic Qualifications 1.
