Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled HRIS Engineer to join our team in Taichung, Taiwan, supporting the implementation and ongoing optimization of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in HRIS platforms, particularly in Workday, and experience working closely with HR, IT, and business teams to ensure seamless integration, configuration, and functionality. This role will be instrumental in enhancing our HR processes, improving system performance, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Workday Implementation: Lead and support the configuration, testing, and deployment of the Workday HCM system, including core HR, benefits, payroll, time tracking, and talent management modules.
2. System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Payroll, Finance, IT) to integrate Workday with other internal systems and external vendors (e.g., payroll providers, benefits platforms).
3. Data Migration: Ensure accurate data migration from legacy HR systems to Workday, including validation, mapping, and troubleshooting of data discrepancies.
4. Customization & Optimization: Tailor Workday’s features to meet business requirements, including creating reports, dashboards, and workflows to optimize HR operations.
5. Troubleshooting & Support: Provide ongoing technical support, resolving system issues, ensuring data integrity, and managing system updates and upgrades.
6. Training & Documentation: Develop user guides, conduct training sessions for HR teams, and document system configurations and processes.
7. Compliance & Security: Ensure that the HRIS system complies with company policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining the security and confidentiality of sensitive data.
8. Project Management: Assist in project planning, tracking, and communication with stakeholders during the implementation phase and subsequent system upgrades.
Experience:
1. Proven experience (3+ years) working with Workday or similar HRIS platforms in an engineering or implementation role.
a. Hands-on experience in the end-to-end implementation of Workday or other
HCM systems.
b. Strong understanding of HR processes, including payroll, benefits, compliance,
and employee data management.
c. Familiarity with data integration tools and techniques (e.g., APIs, middleware).
2. Technical Skills:
a. Proficiency in configuring and managing Workday modules (core HR, talent,
payroll, etc.).
b. Experience with data migration and system integrations.
c. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
d. Ability to write and troubleshoot reports using Workday’s reporting tools.
3. Soft Skills:
a. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-
functional teams.
b. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive HR data with
confidentiality.
c. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
