R.A. Positions Available in Dr. Phillip Wulfridge’s Lab at IMB, Academia Sinica

Responsibilities:  

1.Positions will entail independent projects in research topics spanning R-loop dynamics, genome organization, DNA damage repair, and cancer progression and drug resistance.  

2.Perform molecular biology and cell biology experiments (e.g., tissue culture, CRISPR cloning, library preparation) 

3.Conduct proteomics and genomics-related experiments 

4.Analyze sequencing and genomics data using Python and R 

5.Assist in laboratory organization, inventory management, and ordering reagents

Qualification: 

1. B.Sc. /M.Sc. or PhD Degree in biology, bioinformatics or biotechnology related fields. 

2. Hands-on training in wet-lab techniques and bioinformatic analysis of genomics data (Python/R); prior experience is a plus but not required. 

3.Passionate about scientific research; Motivated, self-driven, diligent, and detail-oriented. 

Salary:  

Competitive Salary based on experience and performance from NTD.38388 (Research Assistant with Bachelor’s degree); from NTD.44968 (Research Assistant with Master’s degree); from NTD.64711(Post-doctoral Fellow)

The Wulfridge Lab at the Institute of Molecular Biology, Academia Sinica is seeking Research Assistants at the BSc or MSc level, and postdoctoral fellows, for scientific work in the fields of molecular biology, cell biology, epigenetics, and genomics. 

The Wulfridge Lab aims to answer fundamental questions in epigenetics, R-loop biology, and genome organization in cellular function and disease, with a focus on breast and ovarian cancer.  

Lab members will learn and perform wet-lab techniques including tissue culture, CRISPR cloning, and proteomics; as well as bioinformatic analysis of genomics datasets in programming languages such as Python and R. Prior experience in some or all of these areas is helpful but not required. 郭惠思老師實驗室 誠徵研究助理2名 

工作內容：  

我們正在積極招募對染色質生物學、基因調控與功能性基因體學有興趣的研究助理加入團隊。理想的候選人應具備良好的組織能力，並樂於在合作型研究環境中工作。 

我們研究疾病相關的染色質調控因子與組蛋白突變如何擾亂基因調控機制。研究助理將協助進行相關研究計畫，包括基本分子生物學操作、基因克隆與哺乳類細胞培養，並有機會學習CRISPR 為基礎的突變分析與基因體學相關技術。 

應徵資格：  

1. 具有生命科學相關學士或碩士學位（如生物學、分子生物學等）。 

2. 具備良好的組織與實驗紀錄能力，做事細心，對細節有高度要求。 

3. 具備良好之英文閱讀、書寫與溝通能力。 

4. 具備基本分子生物學實驗技術經驗者佳，包括基因克隆與哺乳類細胞培養。 

5. 可至少投入 1–2 年者優先考慮。
