Purpose of the Position: 

This position is with Manufacturing, Technology and Engineering (MT&E) corporate engineering division based in Asia. The role will support all Corning Incorporated divisions and manufacturing facilities in Asia, Indo-Pacific and US. Project assignments will require extensive travel (up to 75％) to Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, India, Japan, and US. To be successful in this role, the right candidate must build strong technical linkage within the Corning Technology Community and the different Engineering groups across Asia and in US. He or she must also drive vendors to fabricate automation systems and process equipment to meet Corning specifications and process requirements for manufacturing. 

Project involved with: 

Projects focus on implementing robust, cost-effective automation and process equipment for Corning manufacturing locations. Projects also require extensive collaboration with manufacturing, control / measurement / software systems, process engineering, and other related organizations. 

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

•Work independently to develop material handling automation, process equipment design concepts and detail mechanisms in response to manufacturing needs, issues, or problems. 

•Conduct engineering analysis to deliver robust and cost-effective solutions for fixture / gripper design, material handling, process equipment, and process improvement projects. 

•Provide directions to machine builders, systems integrators, and suppliers on design and fabrication of prototypes, production equipment and material handling automation. Proactively participate in design reviews, check-out, installation, debug, and production start-up. Deliver integrated equipment systems to internal customers on-time, on-budget, and on process performance targets. 

•Perform tests and evaluate data to make recommendations on automation and equipment performance. 

•Collect and analyze material handling or process needs to select suitable off-the-shelf automation such as industrial robots, collaborative robots, AMRs, AGVs, etc. 

•Program, teach, integrate, and troubleshoot off-the-shelf automation like robots, AMRs, etc. with connecting process equipment, conveyors, and buffers. 

•Communicate ideas and project status clearly and professionally in writing and orally. 

Provide necessary documentation of activities, results, procedures, project scope, and assignment status. 

•Execute project assignments with minimal supervision. 

•Responsible for the accuracy of work performed; proactively ensures high quality of work.

The main role supports Corning’s Manufacturing, Technology, and Engineering (MT&E) corporate engineering directorate based in Asia. This position provides support to all Corning Incorporated manufacturing plants in the Asia-Pacific region. Project assignments may require extensive travel, up to 75％, to countries such as Japan, South Korea, India, and the USA. 

Project involved with: 

The project will focus on implementing robust, cost-effective automation and process machine systems in Corning’s manufacturing plants. This will require collaboration with manufacturing, control systems, process engineering, and other related departments. 

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

▪Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of work performed and takes a proactive approach to maintain high quality. 

▪Capable of working independently to develop process equipment design concepts and detail mechanisms in response to manufacturing issues or problems. 

▪Clearly and professionally communicate ideas and project status through graphic and written media, as well as oral presentations. 

▪Provide necessary documentation for activities, results, and assignments. 

▪Direct vendors in constructing prototype and production equipment. Conduct tests and evaluate data to make preliminary recommendations regarding equipment performance.

Position Description 

•Process Equipment installation and startup project support 

•Vender Management for the process equipment installation and startup 

•Project scope developing work support with the requirement investigation and study. 

•Working with the project leader to manage cost/schedule/scope. 

•Managing progress, milestone and status of the project, plant issues, and resources 

•Understanding of mechanical design and drawings. 

•Equipment related troubleshooting, problem analysis and technical solution. 

Requirements 

•Mechanical Engineering or Technology related academic background. 

•5-10 years of the process equipment installation and startup project experience. 

•Mechanical Design and Scope Development experience 

•A good communication skill as a part of the extended functional project team. 

•Process Equipment Design/Installation Vender management skill. 

•CAD and general office software skill including MSCAD and general office software skill including MS––Word, MSWord, MS––Excel, MSExcel, MS––PowerPointPowerPoint

1.檢修caterpillar機械設備及保養 (包括施工機具、船用和工業用引擎及發電機)。 

2.土方設備(挖土機、壓路機、鏟車等)及電力系統組件之故障排除。 

3.機械設備零件維修。 

4.維修工具管理及維護。 

5.製作及管理維修文件報表。 

6.保持工作區域乾淨整潔。 

7.其他主管交辦事項。 

具備汽修科或是有大型機具維修經驗尤佳
