Job Summary: The HR Specialist – Recruitment & Selection is responsible for managing end‑to‑end recruitment and selection processes for support staff and substitution employees, ensuring timely, compliant, and high‑quality hiring outcomes. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role plays a key part in supporting workforce planning, staffing needs, and safe hiring practices across the school. The position oversees recruitment operations including job postings, candidate coordination, interviews, reference checks, onboarding administration, and pre‑employment verification, while ensuring alignment with school policies, compliance requirements, and safeguarding standards. In addition, the role provides administrative and logistical support for professional staff recruitment, including coordination with recruitment agencies, maintenance of recruitment databases and job posting dashboards, and management of recruitment‑related documentation, expenses, and payment processes. Working collaboratively with vetting, onboarding, and HR operations teams, the HR Specialist supports seamless hiring workflows and positive candidate and employee onboarding experiences. This role also contributes to recruitment communications, process improvements, and assigned HR initiatives and projects, while maintaining a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and service quality.
